Custom Images on NinjaVue™ Shades
by Cynthia Kirkeby
My first business was a design firm. I have a degree in graphic design and illustration. So, one of the things I looked at was using art materials on our NinjaVue™ mesh. There are certain types of markers and materials that work, but many others bleed through, remain sticky, or clog the mesh. There are other materials that can actually damage the mesh material. Taking that into account, we don’t recommend that you use art materials directly on our screen material at this time.
If you’d like your custom artwork on a Covert Ink shade, it will work much better if you create your painting, illustration, or graphic the usual way and send us an image of it to print on your shade. If you’re a teacher working with kids, use a large piece of white butcher block paper, take a photo, and send it to us. We’ll make sure that it’s set up correctly and send you a proof before we print. If you’re an artist working in Photoshop or Illustrator you can send us a jpg, png, or pdf file and we can print it from there. That way we don’t have to worry about having your fonts available on our end. We also have the ability to work with CAD drawings if you’d like to send us architectural plans for your business. These can look amazingly cool. We may have to adjust the line width for the best result, but we’ll check with you before we make any adjustments.
Be sure to take a look at our directions for the sizing of the images. You can find the measurement requirements here.
We’re excited to see what you decide to create for your Covert ink privacy shades. Be sure to send us before and after photos and we’ll show the world what you created.
